This type of technology is quickly starting to find its way into a wide variety of genres. Currently, the largest market for VR experience is actually action and adventure games, specifically games which involve driving, combat, and the like. But, this isn’t even close to covering the entire spectrum of possibilities. There are literally hundreds of genres, and hundreds of ways these experiences can be delivered.

This is also why we are seeing so much hype and excitement surrounding augmented reality and virtual reality technologies. Companies like Google, Apple, Samsung, and others have made massive investments into this emerging market, and they are not backing down. I believe that the next few years will see even greater advancements, due to the convergence of technologies and the increase in available size and price points of devices that are easily accessible for the average consumer.
