Introduction to ancestors
Ancestry DNA was launched in 2012. Today it has over 16 million samples and has the world’s largest DNA database. Ancestral DNA also holds the largest collection of family history records, with over 100 million family trees. Let’s start with an overview of ancestor tests and their cost. After that, we’ll move on to Ancestry Sales, Ancestry Coupons, and Ancestry Discounts.
Ancestry offers two different DNA testing products: the AncestryDNA test and the AncestryHealth test. In both cases, customers send their DNA sample through a saliva collection kit. The company also offers a membership that allows access to historical records and does not require genetic testing. Ancestry offers a 14-day free trial that offers free access to family history for 14 days. You can also purchase a Gift Membership that provides access to Ancestry records.
AncestryDNA is available for $ 99. It can be bought in over 30 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
Ancestry uses your DNA, as well as an extensive database of genealogical records, to help you find out your family history. The company provides estimates of genetic ethnicity and will dig even deeper into the origins of your ancestors, broken down into 1,000 different regions of the world.
You will also be able to see how your ancestors moved over time. Using Ancestry’s ability to identify potential DNA matches, you will even have the ability to connect with living family members who are also members of Ancestry. Using the results of DNA analysis and Ancestry family records, you can build your own family tree. You can also learn more about your family history.
In the US only, customers can access Ancestry Traits for an additional $ 20 when purchasing the AncestryDNA Kit. This will provide you with information on 26 different genetic traits. It includes traits such as eye color, cleft chin, and aversion to cilantro.
Ancestors Health ($ 149 excluding Ancestry Sale, Ancestry Discount, or Ancestry Coupon)
AncestryHealth is available for $ 149. It is only available in the United States, but cannot be purchased in New York, New Jersey, or Rhode Island.
When you buy AncestryHealth, your doctor or genetic counselor will order a test and check your results. AncestryHealth provides you with nine different health reports. You will receive reports on your genetic risks for certain types of cancer and heart disease.
You will also find out if you are a carrier of certain genetic diseases. These include cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, and Tay-Sachs disease.
If you are at increased risk, you will be able to access Ancestry educational videos, online tools, and genetic counselors. This will help you and your healthcare provider know what to do next.
AncestryHealth also provides eight different reports on genetic well-being. These include your risk of lactose intolerance and your body’s ability to process caffeine.
Ancestor sales, coupons and discounts
Ancestry gives you a lot of information about your health and background, but their services can be expensive. If you don’t want to pay full price and want to save some money, here is a list of Ancestry Sales, Ancestry Coupons, and Ancestry Discounts.
Ancestry has several sales throughout the year. Most often, the Ancestry DNA kit goes on sale, usually with a 40% discount. The last major sale took place in October on Prime Day 2020, when AncestryDNA went on sale with a 50% discount ($ 49).
The latest Ancestry Black Friday 2020 offers are valid until November 25, 2020. Discounts on Black Friday are usually among the lowest of the season.
- AncestryDNA – 40% discount (from 59 $)
- AncestryHealth – 34% off (available for $ 119)
Ancestry is currently offering a free 14-day trial of its family tree research service. In addition, the brewdog discount code Ancestry DNA is available, which gives AARP members (users with AARP membership) a 30% discount on Ancestry World Explorer.
Several Ancestry coupon codes are available for Ancestry services. However, most coupons are for US Discovery or World Explorer membership. (For example, Groupon offers a $ 50 Ancestry coupon for a 6-month US Discovery membership.)
This multi-month membership allows you to search genealogy records for past or present family records. However, they do not include DNA testing services.
There is currently only one active Ancestry Coupon for Ancestry DNA Testing Services (see below). However, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal list a few expired Ancestry coupons, so be sure to check for future deals. Ancestry does not offer student discounts at this time.
- For a limited time, visit Groupon (now through August 1st) to get $ 20 off on the AncestryDNA Kit ($ 79). To access this promo code, click this link, then click the green View Sale button. This will take you directly to the Ancestry buy page where you can buy kits with a $ 20 discount code.
Even with all those Ancestry sales, Ancestry coupons and Ancestry discounts, in fact, Ancestry is still expensive for what it offers. However, this service is still quite expensive when you consider that you are provided with a relatively small amount of data. For $ 149, AncestryHealth only decodes about 0.1% of your genome. It only provides you with 17 reports on your health and wellness. This is because Ancestry uses legacy DNA genotyping technology. This means that you will remain in the dark about 99.9% of your own genome!
